Marking 240 years of distilling on the same site in Crieff, Glenturret Distillery has unveiled a range of single malts that reinforce the brand’s heritage as Scotland’s only remaining producer of hand mashed whisky.
The distinctive new range reveals abold return to the marketplace for the niche premium malt, traditionally used as a key ingredient in The Famous Grouse blend. In recent months The Glenturret has re-established itself as a highly collectible whisky releasing specialist bottlings including a 1986 Commonwealth Games Edition, which made its way into Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, and the more recent Brock Malloy, which sold out internationally within weeks.
The new core range showcases Glenturret’s small batch whisky production that enables the distillers to create different taste expressions, offering consumers a clear choice between a sherry, triple wood or peated malt.
Stuart Cassells, the driving force behind Glenturret Distillery’s return to the limelight comments: “The Glenturret single malt is a hidden gem in the whisky world, a genuinely handmade malt crafted with passion and care. Our new core range draws on the very best of our traditional, artisan production methods but focuses on profiling the taste of the malt, not simply its age.

Currently available online, from the distillery shop and in a selection of independent outlets, bottles retail at £45 each.
