he weather turns cooler as summer fades in to autumn, and so another TWAS gathering looms to fend off the growing chill with the amber warmth of whisky!
This time our travels take us to Campbeltown - home to many a distillery back in the day, but recently reduced to but a few - this time we try our luck with Cambeltown most famous asset - Springbank.
This TWAS tasting, we were honoured to have a tutoured tasting by a pair of very well known and respected authorities on whisky, whisky sales, and did I mention whisky? Graham Wright, whisky afficionado, from the Odd Whisky Coy, and Shane Kalloglian, whisky authority, collector and importer and owner of the largest private collections of whisky in Australia.
These two gentleman have forgotten more about whisky than many of us would know in total - we were extremely honoured by their presence.
The tasting started unusually, by everyone sample a Gin & Tonic! Unusual yes, as it’s a whisky tasting, not a Gin Tasting - but the Gin was of Cadenhead, Scottish heritage so it wasn’t far off the mark!
